3 Ways to Connect Android Phone to TV

By connecting your Android device to your TV, you can distribute applications to your tablet or your smartphone on your big screen. You can view a variety of content - from games installed on your phone to the movies downloaded through the various applications.

 Use an HDMI cable


Buy an HDMI cable. Check that your HDMI cable is compatible with your Android device. Test it out by grabbing the smaller end of the cable by inserting it into the charging port of your device.


Turn off your TV. Press the power button. The screen should be completely black when it goes off.


Connect your device to the TV. If this is not done, plug the small end of the HDMI cable into the charging port of your device. Then take the larger end and plug it into the USB port located behind your TV.

Turn on your TV and switch to the HDMI channel. Press the power button on the TV. If it has a "Source" button, press it until you fall into the HDMI channel - a small window should appear on the screen to show you which channel you are. If your TV does not have such a button, you will access the sources using your remote. Refer to your TV user manual for how to switch from one source to another.


Make sure your device is turned on and unlocked. If it is off, press the power button. To unlock, slide your finger on the screen and / or enter the security code. It is important that your phone is unlocked for your TV can access them.


Access your display settings. Navigate in the home screen of your Android until you find the icon "Settings" - it looks like a gear. Tap the icon to open the settings. Then press the "Display" listed on the menu.


Check the box next to the "HDMI connection".
The HDTV should now be able to diffuse what appears on the screen of your Android.



Use Chromecast


Get Chromecast Google and connect it to your TV. Chromecast is a dongle that connects to the HDMI port on your TV. With it, you can distribute content and connect your Android TV. Chromecast plug into the HDMI port on your TV.


Download Chromecast application on your Android device. Browse through the home screen of your Android to find the Play Store app. This icon looks like a play button multicolored stamped a white bag. Press to launch it. Seek Chromecast application in the search field, and press it when it appears. Then press Install to download Chromecast your device. Make sure you download the latest version.



Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network. Browse through the home screen of your Android you find the application parameters. The icon looks like a gear, press it to launch it. Tap the Wi-Fi option. If your Wi-Fi is on, the radio button to the right of the option must be green. Otherwise, press this button. Wi-Fi networks list available will appear. Tap the network you want to join, and if prompted, enter the password for that network.



Chromecast Launch the application. Browse through the home screen of your Android to find the Chromecast application. This icon looks like a small TV that contains the Google Chrome logo on its screen. Press to launch the application.



Place the TV on the HDMI channel. As was reported earlier, you can do so either through the TV buttons or with the remote control.


Enter the configuration code. Enter the configuration code that is displayed on the TV screen of the application to make Chromecast synchronization.
Chromecast can view what is on the Chrome browser on your device and the applications designed specifically to be broadcast on Chromecast. The updates will automatically add more functionality to Chromecast.

Use a host device to CheapCast

Prepare your device. Here's what you need:
A spare Android device to receive CheapCast (host device).
Another Android device, iOS or computer to launch the application on the Chromecast TV via the HDMI port.
An HDMI port to connect the host to the TV.
A MHL adapter (optional if your host device is equipped with the HDMI functionality).


Download and install CheapCast since Playstore on the host device.


Connect the device to your TV. If your host machine has an HDMI port, connect it to your TV via the HDMI cable. If it has no HDMI port, use the MHL adapter to connect the device to the HDMI port on your TV, the adapter being connected to the charging port of the device.


Use Chromecast. Use the app on your Android Chromecast to disseminate the content on your TV. The host device will act as a Chromecast dongle, so you can act exactly as if you had a dongle connected to your TV.
